What is Cryopreservation?
Cryopreservation is a technique of freezing, storing embryo, eggs, sperms for years together in a vitrification laboratory. This process helps in providing an additional chance of pregnancy, saving embryos, sperms in case of any medical emergencies. They have been mostly used in Invitro Fertilization (IVF) whereas a woman needs not go for fertility drugs to have an embryo transfer during the fertility treatment. When sperms are collected through surgeries, the same can be frozen and there is no need for any additional surgery. During the procedure eggs or sperms are preserved under -150 degree.
Methods in Cryopreservation
Slow freezing and rapid freezing techniques are two methods of cryopreservation. The Rapid freezing process is otherwise called as vitrification process which is an advanced one. Vitrification process is a latest adopted procedure by many IVF centers.

Egg freezing and preservation might be the best option if a woman is not ready to become pregnant now but may try her biological kid in the future.
