Increase Your Chances of Conceiving With IVF Treatment

Trying for a baby can be an exciting time, but if the process is taking longer than expected then it can quickly turn into a frustrating and upsetting experience for all involved. If you have been trying for a year or longer, you could be eligible for IVF treatment.

In Vitro Fertilization or IVF as it is more commonly known, is the process by which eggs and sperm are put together in a glass under laboratory conditions. This is so the sperm is able to fertilize the egg. During the process of IVF, the eggs are taken from the woman's ovaries and fertilised with the sperm in a laboratory or specialist clinic. Once the egg is fertilised, the embryo is then put back into the woman's womb so pregnancy can begin.

An IVF procedure may be used if a woman or a man has a problem with their body's reproductive systems. Such as, a woman's fallopian tube might have a blockage or be missing altogether meaning that eggs are unable to travel down to the uterus naturally. She could have other unexplained infertility issues that have gone on for a prolonged period of time and due to her age and personal situation may try to use IVF to become pregnant. But is it not just a woman's health problem that can lead to the use of IVF. It is also commonly used if a man has a low sperm count and is also used if other artificial insemination procedures have not been a success.

The benefit to this type of treatment is that it can still be successful even if the woman has no fallopian tubes, or they are blocked and unable to be repaired. Even if a woman is unable to produce her own eggs IVF treatment can still be performed. Another benefit to having this treatment is that a couple are able to test for a potential disorder that could be inherited while transferring embryos.

Embryo Transfer Procedure For in Vitro Fertilization

Embryo transfer means the process that positions an embryo in the uterus in an IVF (in vitro fertilization) period. IVF cycles are also called intra cytoplasmic sperm injection cycles or ICSI cycles. Implantation achievement levels vary from ten percent to sixty percent and they are massively influenced by female's age. Women's wellness and age group tend to be the major elements of transfer ability.

Embryos usually are implanted two to three days after fertilization. This is recognized as the cleavage phase. They can be also transferred when you are in the blastocyst phase. This is just about 5 to 6 days right after fertilization. The embryos are not implanted over the morula stage on day 4.

In a typical IVF process the woman's eggs are retrieved from the woman's body and then fertilized in the clinical lab. If everything goes well that means the fertilization is complete, then the embryo is transferred into the woman's uterus and that process is called IVF Embryo Transfer. This is a very critical part of the whole IVF process and has to be done very carefully and the embryo has to be placed on the right place for right pregnancy.kullanmarellam viswasikkan kollathvan mar

Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) is considered a non-invasive or minimally invasive type of procedure. Frozen embryos can be thawed and then implanted into your uterus. If you have ovarian or ovulation problems, then FET might be a good option for you when you are considering your infertility treatment options. If you have uterine based problems with carrying out a pregnancy or other disorders, then FET may not be for you. Consult your infertility specialist about what infertility treatments might help you conceive.

IVF - Solution to Infertility

There are lots of women these days that are really having a hard time to enjoy their motherhood because of some health problems. But because of the technology, they are now able to experience the feeling of being a mother and being pregnant.

In-vitrofertilization- It is one of the most commonly used assisted reproductive treatments that involves the fertilization of an ovum in a laboratory dish, after which the embryos are transferred into the uterus of a woman.
There are five steps in the embryo transfer process:
1. The development of ripening eggs in the ovaries is observed
2. The eggs are collected
3. The sperms are collected
4. Eggs and sperm are kept together in the lab where they are given suitable conditions to fertilize, resulting in the initial growth of an embryo
5. The embryos are transferred into the uterus
The time of ripening of the eggs is controlled. To make better the chances of quality egg collection, fertility drugs are prescribed. Before the egg retrieval is done, an ultrasound of the ovaries is done to check egg development. A urine/ blood test is also done to measure the levels of hormone.
The Process of Egg Retrieval
The process takes place trans-vaginally where a hollow needle is guided by an ultrasound image. Eggs are removed from ovaries with the use of this needle, which is called follicular aspiration. One needs to take care of the perfect timing for this.
After retrieval, the eggs along with sperms are kept in the incubator for the fertilization process, which is checked upon at regular intervals for fertilization, cell division and formation of an embryo. The transfer usually happens within 2 - 3 days after egg retrieval, which is done by inserting a speculum into the vagina for exposing cervix (the neck of the womb). This is followed by a resting period, ultrasounds and blood tests to check possible pregnancy.
